Bringing care
closer to home.
What began as a single pharmacy in 2004 has grown into six, each one run with the same independent, community focused care and the same personal service.
Our Story
Richard Garvey, our Superintendent Pharmacist (PSNI 3714), leads a team with years of experience serving this community: independent, friendly, and genuinely local.

Our Services
Alongside everyday prescriptions, every branch offers NHS and private services that fit around real life in this community: living near the border, a distance from the nearest hospital, and always on the go

Hard-to-Get & Private Prescriptions

Frequently Asked
Questions patients ask us most
Do I need a GP appointment for Pharmacy First?
No. Walk into any of our six branches and one of our PSNI-registered pharmacists can assess and treat a range of common conditions on the spot, free on the NHS.
Can I transfer my prescription from another pharmacy?
Yes — bring in your details or ask us to contact your current pharmacy, and we'll handle the transfer for you. Most transfers are ready within a day.
What if my medicine isn't available anywhere else
This is what we do best. We work with UK and specialist suppliers to source discontinued or hard-to-get medicines that other pharmacies turn away.
Do you handle prescriptions for patients living near the Northern Ireland/ Ireland Border ?
Yes. We regularly advise patients who split their care between NI and Ireland, and can talk you through what's needed on both sides.
Which branch is open on Sundays?
The Medical Hall, in The Quays Shopping Centre in Newry city centre, is open seven days a week, including Sunday afternoons.
